 The VFL welcomes our latest artist in residence,  Gracelee Lawrence . Coming to us from North Carolina with an MFA in Sculpture + Extended Media from the University of Texas, Gracelee is overflowing with ideas about how to make her digitally fabricated fountains.

 Gracelee is building 4 unique fountains out of 3D printed materials and foam.

 She is using PETG for it’s water resistance and is also including 3D printed copper elements. These will then be sanded down to remove the printing striations.

 The fountains themselves are being constructed out of CNC routed foam which will then be coated in various materials, mostly fiberglass and resin.

 Currently Gracelee is working on a giant lemon as well as a fountain featuring a male torso with copper objects surrounding him.
