Didn't find the settings you need for the laser? Check the binder to find MORE LASER MATERIAL SETTINGS. This binder is an eclectic collection of materials students, faculty, and VFL staffers have cut.
So before you give up on cutting your fabric (yes, you can cut fabric using the laser!) or Bristol paper look through the binder and find something similar. Once you have a similar material you can start doing some test prints.
Test out the Speed and Power raising it higher and lower in increments of 5-10 until you have the correct settings that cut through (or engraves as needed) your material. As a rule: slower will be a stronger cut and lower power will create less of a burnt appearance.
