Debris Space - Artist in Residence show

Here at the VFL we celebrated the work of Inhye Lee and Hyomin Kim, our final artists in residency for the Spring semester of '18. Lee and Kim talked about a rising problem: space junk and how our exploits in space as well as the advent of commercial satellites, commonly called cube-sats, have created debris around the earth's orbit.

Concern over the ever increasing Space Junk fueled Lee and Kim's project. They set out to recreate a series of famous space junk sculptures that float around a spherical shape, hovering just above the base to bring awareness to the issue.
