MFA  Products of Design  student Rhea Bhandari is using her thesis to examine that very question. Rhea is looking to find a better way to design chairs to accommodate women in the workplace.

Whether because of period cramps or our worn out fists from smashing through glass ceilings, women have different sitting needs than their male co-workers and Rhea has set out to design a better, more comfortable chair that will support all women at their desks.

At this stage Rhea has made a few small scale prototypes and is ready to take her project to full scale. Rhea has come to the VFL to consult with our knowledgeable staff about how best to fabricate her chair.
