Today, the VFL received a shipment of table saw blades and we decided to put a new blade on the machine.

First, for safety we turned off and unplugged the machine entirely, then lifted the protective cover, and vacuumed the excess saw dust that had built up around the interior machinery. Next using two wrenches, the nut and washer is loosened and then removed from the saw blade axel, carefully so as to not drop the critical pieces into the machine below.

The old blade is then removed and discarded in the replacement's packaging -- note the burn marks on the side of the old blade.
