How to Antiquate Metals

1. Place your metal you wish to have darkened on a cloth or paper towel, as the chemical tends to get messy.


2. Pour a small amount of Jax solution into the empty bowl and, using a q-tip or other preferred means of application, apply the chemical to the exposed parts of the metal. The more chemical and the longer it stays, the darker and more aged the metal will look.

3. Wipe the remaining chemical off of the metal, as leaving it on will continue the darkening process.


4. If you wish to add further aging detail, use a sheet of soft-grit sandpaper to roughen up the patina.
